Spacer
Spacer is an empty layout component used to push siblings apart.
Row { Text("Document"), Spacer(), Button("Save"),}.With(CrossAlign(CrossAxisAlignment::Center))In a Row, it consumes available horizontal space; in a Column, it consumes available vertical space.
Use Grow(factor) on ordinary content when the flexible region itself should render or participate in semantics.
Spacer has no content, events, or accessibility semantics.
- Constructor:
Spacer(). - Common modifiers:
Framefor a fixed minimum gap andGrowfor explicit proportional behavior.
See Row and Column for flexible-axis behavior and alignment rules.
Flexible space versus a gap
Section titled “Flexible space versus a gap”Spacer() is the only constructor, in huxerui, <huxerui/view.h>. It has no style, value, or events. In a bounded Row or Column it consumes remaining main-axis space; if there is no remaining space, it does not force an extra fixed gap.
Use the parent’s Spacing for a reliable gap between every child. Give a Spacer an explicit Frame only when a particular empty region needs a minimum or fixed dimension. Inside an unbounded scrolling main axis, use content padding/gaps instead of a Spacer intended to push a footer to the screen edge.
